Black Family Women: Most of the ladies on this list have donned the title of the infamous Black Arrow (one of the greatest of thieves throughout history), while others have contributed both positively and negatively to the Black family name and reputation. They’ve done great things in their lifetimes though some have done terrible but great things as well. This is more of an overview of some of the most influential and well known of the Black family women.
Elizabeth Black: Though on the surface she appeared to be a warm and pleasant woman, Elizabeth was vindictive, power hungry and blood thirsty. Any that dared cross her usually ended up on the receiving end of a powerful curse or was stripped of their wealth and title since she was apparently quite close to the royal family of the time (being friends with the Queen is a good thing, especially when you’re the great niece of Morgana.).
Isabel Black: Ruthless, cunning and easily bored, Isabel was not a fan of Prince John and his tyrannical rule of Britain as his brother King Richard was off fighting the Crusades. It wasn’t until John threatened to confiscate the Black family Estate and titles that Isabel became angry enough to actually do something about it. She took up the guise of the Black Arrow and became allies with the people’s favorite outlaw Robin Hood, doing all in her power to thwart Prince John by combining magic and stealth.
Captain Anne Marie Black: A fearsome pirate captain in her own right and the true reason Black Beard’s Queen Anne’s Revenge was sunk. She’s also responsible for the disappearance of several notable ships including Navy vessels. She was surrounded by rumors of mysticism and dark magic the latter being the most accurate since she used her knowledge of the dark arts as well as enlisting the help of the ‘darker’ magical creatures of the sea to establish herself as a Captain not to be messed with despite her help in deterring the Spanish Armada.
Jadelyn Black: Witty, Outspoken and temperamental, Jadelyn of Jade was the first of the Black Arrows to sit at the Council of Thieves (Prestigious and exclusive group of only world renowned thieves including only the Cooper clan and the Orrick family, the Black Arrow was the last to be added to the table replacing the Han clan). She was also rumored to be spotted in France during the Revolution and apparently was thought to be fighting alongside the people, though when asked she’d only reply with a smirk saying something about the freedom to steal and kill when a distraction is about.
Sheshona Black: Though not the first Arrow on the Thieving Council she’s the most respected and well known. Sheshona or Shona perfected the art of thieving, laying out her own version of the trade and passing on several techniques still used by the current Arrow today. She cared little for her families politics and refused to take part in any of it, choosing instead to focus on refining her skills as a thief, she wrote the Arrow’s guide that has been passed down to each Arrow after. She’s also known as one of Sherlock Holmes’ greatest advisories, having never been actually caught though in between cases they were rumored to be on a friendly basis.
Sarah Black: A well-known healer, Sarah made waves in the magical world when she discovered or rediscovered the uses of several different herbs, stones and potions. She is also credited for improving basic healing spells and bone mending potions.
Victoria Black: Ruthless and brutal, Victoria made it clear she believed the magical world should rule over the non-magical world. Wanting to ‘erase the disgrace’ of Sarah’s healing achievements, Victoria set fire to London alongside several dark witches and wizards. By the time she was imprisoned, she was found guilty of at least ten muggle killings and tortures and was charged with attempting to take over the Ministry. However thanks to Victoria’s attempts and success at breaking into the Ministry more powerful defense spells were discovered and created.
Alannah Black: The last to hold the title of Black Arrow until Keira, Alannah mastered the practice of rearranging exhibits as a distraction as she stole priceless paintings and artifacts. She was also quite the adventurer and became a highly respected Spell and Curse breaker specializing in Egypt.
Siobahn Black: Obsessed with the dark arts, Siobahn was a supporter of ruling the muggles and actively tortured any that dared cross her or disrespect her. Despite her hatred for the non-magical world, ironically it’s thanks to her that laws were passed in the Ministry that protected half-bloods and even the banning of muggle hunting and torturing.
Bellatrix Black: Devoted to the dark arts and like her mother obsessed with ruling the muggle world, Bella became a loyal and deadly follower to the Dark Lord. She specialized in torture curses, never shy to bring pain to her victims or who she was interrogating. To this day no one knows if she escaped prison, died or was never caught to begin with and has been hiding since the fall of her dark master. Shortly after giving birth to Keira, Selene and Anna she vanished.
Keira Black: The current Black Arrow and former Wolven Queen, Keira is temperamental, witty, and usually broody. The eldest of the ‘missing Black triplets’ she made a name for herself as an accomplished con and became a world renowned thief. Keira also is held for restoring the Duchy to the Black family name. She’s a powerful adversary keeping the current Council and Ministry in check to prevent them from overstepping their bounds.
Selene Black: Currently a major figure on the Vampire Council and former mercenary for hire, Selene can be cold and ruthless. She’s thought to be behind several high profile assassinations including that of several world leaders. Like her eldest twin Keira, she is constantly keeping the Ministry and Magical Council in check as well as continuing to fight for a more stable peace among Vampires and Wolves.
Anna Black: The youngest of the Black triplets, Anna is rarely mentioned due to the circumstances leading to her supposed death. However it appears she has been resurrected or freed from what prison held her after her defeat. Anna was the purest of the Black triplets wielding light magic, however darker forces found a way to corrupt her and turned her to dark magic. She had risen again after being slain by her sisters’ hands and is out for revenge.
Amy Black: Keira’s youngest twin daughter, Amy is one of only a handful of the family to not pursue a career involving criminal activity in one form or another. She is currently a professor at one of the Magic schools as well as a guardian of several very powerful magical artifacts.
Samantha Black: Keira’s eldest twin daughter, Sam is quick tempered, volatile, unpredictable. After the death of her mate like most wolves her mind became partly shattered leaving her partly insane by some standards. Sam is currently a world renowned thief and is trying to take over the role of the Arrow from her mother.
Paige Black: Cousin to Keira, Selene and Anna, Paige is the older twin of Shane, daughters of Teagan Orrick Black. Clever, witty and sarcastic, Paige is known for her sharp wit and intelligence. Paige like her sister Shane has chosen to follow in their mother’s footsteps by following the ways of the Orrick clan, however unlike Shane, Paige strictly follows the Orrick ways. She is quickly becoming the next successor to the head of the Orrick Clan.
Shane Black: The youngest daughter of Teagan Orrick Black, Shane like the women from both sides of her families has chosen to follow the path of the thief, however Shane unlike any other has combined both the ways of the Orrick Clan and the technique of the Arrow to create a new style all her own. Shane is charming, clever and can be very flirtatious, she’s known for being able to run a con against the most seasoned of cons and come out on top. Paige and Shane are the product of the union between Teagan Black and Jocelyn Orrick, two women from two of the most powerful and respected thieving families (the first time any of the great thieving families has ever combined).
